Nostalġija ta’ libertà

Franica Pulis tintervista lil Suzan Sahori mill-Palestina (Illum)

Din il-ġimgħa kien hemm għaddejjin żewġ proġetti li jippromwovu d-diversità. Iżda mara Palestinjana kienet preżenti fit-tnejn - Suzan Sahori - Direttur għar-Relazzjonijiet Internazzjonali ta’ għaqda li tippromwovi kummerċ ġust tax-xogħol artiġġanali Palestinjan: il-Holy Land Handicraft Cooperative Society (www.holyland-handicraft.org).

Illum ltaqgħet ma’ Sahori biex titkixxef dwar il-ħajja vera li jgħixu l-Palestinjani u mhux dik biss li naraw fuq it-televixin. Tibda tirrakkontali kif qed tħossha Malta.

“Inħossni libera. Inħobbu nsuqu minn belt għall-oħra mingħajr man-nies iwaqqfuna biex jiċċekkjawlna l-karta tal-identità jew nistennew fil-kjus twal fil-postijiet ta’ kontroll. Nista’ nippjana l-ġurnata. Mhux bħal f’Ramallah. Biex nasal s’hemm irrid nippjana sagħtejn, tlieta qabel għax ma nafx kemm se jżommuni fil-postijiet ta’ kontroll. Jogħġbuni s-siti tagħkom u l-ġonna. Aħna ma fadlilniex iktar ġonna,” tgħid b’dispjaċir.
